The owner of Textbookly.com approached me for a rebranding of his website. He wanted to keep it simple, modern, and appeal to college students. He also wanted a design that was responsive, mobile-friendly, and light (did not bog down his fast website load).
I also redesigned Textbookly’s logo to be more applicable in a variety of scenarios: print, mobile, web, etc. It is simple, yet speaks for itself with the blinking type bar signifying a search.
In addition to the web and logo design, I worked with the owner to give Textbookly a personality. The personality shows through the writing style as it’s more conversational with our college student target audience. The website shows a rotating gallery of funny phrases, such as,”Food, something you get when you save money on textbooks.”
The personality also shows through the marketing assets that I created for social media and posters. In each advertisement, I created a character that represented a college student giving money-saving tips or thoughts on textbook prices.
